Stars Add Four Players

POSTED: 12:04 pm CDT July 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars signed forward Landon Wilson to a one-year contract, while forward Francis Wathier and defensemen Maxime Fortunus and Garrett Stafford each signed two-year contracts, the club announced on Thursday.

Financial terms of the two-way deals were not disclosed.

Wilson, 33, has played the last four years in Europe -- including the last two seasons in the Swiss Elite League. The 19th overall pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1993 draft, Wilson last played in the NHL with Phoenix and Pittsburgh in 2003-04, posting six goals and four assists in 54 games.

In 348 NHL games over parts of nine seasons, Wilson -- whose father, Rick, is an assistant with the Stars -- has recorded 51 goals and 60 assists.

Stafford went scoreless in a pair of games with the Red Wings last season, while Wathier and Fortunus have yet to make their NHL debuts.
