Donna Bragg, News Anchor

Donna's career in broadcast journalism began by chance. During her last semester of college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, she took a broadcast announcing class which led to a summer internship at the Dallas ABC affiliate, WFAA. After one day, she was hooked.

Three months later, in October of 1988, putting aside plans to attend law school, Donna moved to Fort Smith as a general assignments reporter for KFSM. She worked there five years as medical reporter, producer and news anchor. She covered such major news events as the Democratic National Convention in 1991.

In December of 1993, Donna retired from the news business to start a family, and she tackled that project with tenacity. She had two children 12 months apart. Will is 13 years old and Anna is 12 years old. To quote Donna, "They are healthy, happy, brilliantly articulate, gorgeous, feisty, hilarious geniuses."

Donna re-entered the work force in 1997, becoming HealthBeat reporter and 10 p.m. news anchor for 40/29. She has won several awards for community service and for investigative medical reports. She has served on advisory boards for the Children's Emergency Shelter, St. Edward Mercy Medical Center & The Morgan Nick Foundation. She's also a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Donna enjoys travelling, cooking and reading, but she says she spends most of her time "desperately trying to keep up with my children!"
