John Laws joins the 40/29 Sports Team after working the past two years as a sports reporter at the ABC affiliate in Midland, Texas. Covering high school football is nothing new to John after being in west Texas under the Friday night lights.

“It was definitely something special to cover teams like Odessa Permian and Midland Lee after seeing the movie ‘Friday Night Lights.’” Says Laws.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, John attended Missouri State on a swimming scholarship and majored in broadcast journalism. Now living in “Hog” country, John’s thrilled about having the chance to cover the Razorbacks and SEC sports.

“What can I say? The SEC is the best sports conference in the country and the Razorbacks are right in the middle of it.”
