FORT SMITH, Ark. -- A brake failure caused an historic trolley in Fort Smith to crash with passengers on board, police said.The trolley was taking five passengers along a stretch of track off Garrison Avenue when it was unable to stop. It hit street signs and broke a section of the curb.No injuries were reported.
The trolley is part of Fort Smith’s Trolley Museum. Officials there aren’t sure how much it will cost to repair the trolley or how long before it can be ready to run again.
