VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Police released the name of the man killed in a boating accident Thursday night. Investigators said Andrew Scott, 48, was killed when his boat hit the Lee Creek Bridge on Interstate 540 at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses at the nearby Field of Dreams baseball park in Van Buren heard the accident and rushed to save Scott but could not, officials said.

Scott was a well-known fisherman who has competed in numerous local fishing tournaments.

The accident is still under investigation.
